well worth a punt for 60 quid
it will give u more time to make bids on other lathes without rushing in to get started. just bide your time and something decent will turn upI'd have snapped his hand off at £60. I've got a few Myford 7 bits I intend to build into a full lathe some day that cost more than that.
First thing to look out for after some tool bits is probably a contershaft with a pulley or three to help widen the speed range.

Good start for £60. A bit of tidying 
Def. build yourself a counter-shaft! Couple of plummer blocks, put an ad on homeworkshop.org.uk or check e-bays for some pulleys. Bit of Dexion or summat for the frame. Worth having a look around the local scrap yard as well, tis amazing what you can find.
