Hi guys, been a while since i been on here.
picked up this Butters AMT 241 a while back but i have had an annoying issue with it and i cant stand it anymore!
When starting a weld, the initial arc spits really bad and makes a mess or the work piece. like say you was to tack something, it really thinks about arcing nicely. Wire speed is fine
Changed all the usual's like liner, tip, diffuser. i have not swapped the earth because its in great condition, made of copper and really strong clamping force.
it's even got some nice Lincoln wire.
one thing i have noticed in comparison to welders i have used before is there is some play in the euro socket fitting. basically you can wobble it a bit so not sure if its that (although not much)
any ideas?
