Hi, Im new to this forum so please be gentle.
Does anyone have knowledge or instructions for butters ac/dc 240v tig welders
In a previous life I was a car restorer and the taught paint and body work in Manchester. As a restorer I built up good rep and worked on some show winning VWs and hot rods. If I had a better business head at the time I would still be doin it, My welding using Mig was and is very good, However I always had the hankering to weld ally and stainless for various projects.
Many years later I work in a job I hate but pays the bills I am returning to my roots part time and over the past 10 years I have been building up my equipment and tools again and managed to do some work on some boy racer stuff that made into mags, not my bag but they pay. The point of this post is that a few years back I bought a Butter 200a, 240V ac/dc set. This cost me a fortune for what is really a hobby at the moment. I didnt touch it for well over two years and cant find the insructions, I finally got on ebay and bought some electrodes and have had a bottle from BOC for 3 years now. Now im building an exhaust for VW camper from 316 stainless about 2-3mm thick im not with it so cant remember exact size and Im struggling. If I dont get anywhere soon the misses will kill me, I cant keep the BOC bills from her for much longer, I bet Ive only done 30 mins on it since I bought it.
I have not managed to do some google trawls yet but as your membership is full of people who know I thought I would give this a try rather than wade through pages of crap.
