So I'm welding up the front chassis leg on in the inner wheel arch. Accidentally I dropped the piece of 1.5mm MS sheet I was forming to size down the hole I cut out!
Unfortunately it went down almost a ski slope and is somewhere in the chassis leg under the car now - probably 2 foot from the hole. Tried to get it out with magnets stuck to long steel rules but it's gone past the curve at the bottom and just can't get it.
It's about 6 inch x 2 inch.
Would you worry about it rusting away and attacking the chassis leg over time?
In theory the chassis leg is epoxied internally but this lose piece of ms steel will rub over it while you drive I guess.
