Hi everyone, I'm planning on welding a SS316 square plate to a SS316 square pipe with a wall thickness of 5.00mm but I'm not sure how wide the root gap and root faces need to be or the degree of the bevels on the pipe and plate.
I was originally going to make the root faces 1.50mm and the root gap 2.00mm wide, I got the rough root dimensions from google AI by asking it the recommended root gap and root face for 5mm thick stainless steel but I have no idea how accurate it is so I thought I'd come here to get your opinions.
