Just having a go at this.
Is it best to leave a gap between the sheets? Or butt them up tightly(no gap), with a slight gap(about 1mm) i cant seem to bridge the gap between the sheets, i get a weld on the edge of each sheet, but just make the gap larger.
Im a complete welding novice(only picked up a torch yesterday ), and can get nice continuos seams on 1mm sheet with the 1st power setting, and a 3ish wire speed(so i tried those settings for the butt weld)
Im using a Clarke 90EN, flux wire. Apparently not the best for a beginner to use, but i have it so may as well use up the wire first before getting gas etc. lol
Any tips?
