Butane Gas

i have five butane gas bottles ranging in size from 13 kg to 7 kg. All are mostly full and I have no use for the gas.

Can you get a boiling ring similar to those you can use on propane, alternatively is there a blow torch out there that will connect to these gas bottles. Blow torch will be the most useful option to me.

Will a propane torch work or can it be modified?

propane torches should be fine, I use a sievert one on propane, but you need a high pressure regulator. I think mine is 2 bar. butane doesnt work as well in cold weather as propane though.

Cheers guys, just found and ordered a gas torch, I use this for lighting the BBQ, currently I get through a couple of disposable bottles every season. The torch cost less than two bottles of gas, so happy days

It's only a minor problem as you probably won't be in the workshop when it's that cold but at about 4-5° the gas won't boil which will mean there will be no pressure in the tank even though it could still be full and you won't be able to use it until it warms up a bit.
Also, butane needs 30% more oxygen to burn properly than propane which might mean a propane torch wouldn't get enough air into the mix to burn completely (It would also make oxy/butane very expensive). It's probably not going to be noticeable but I think it's worth mentioning.

^^^^^^ a few years ago I was fed up with going camping the weather being so miserable, that I got a small gas bbq and modified it to work as a small oven, its does very nice nice pakora's, samosa's and cheese and onion pasties....the smell and taste of pasty can be very warming.
