Business Electric Supplier Swap

Having nightmares switching from British Gas to EDF and in the meantime it's costing me £200-350 a month on a variable tarriff. This has been ongoing since 13th June.

Any recommendations.

I went through a broker to get the deal with EDF and they are just ignoring my emails now.

have you been blocked ?

try direct switch instead and see what you get

the bg reference says your leaving but the edf reference says you wont be joining them that would state in a way that you have been blocked from swapping to edf

as goes for your broker its looking like they cant swap you so dont want to know

Octopus are twice as expensive as the quote from edf

I went back to edf then octopus came back with another tariff
Octopus also answer the phone

No point in asking for commercial tariff either as you probably don’t use enough so why pay more

There was a piece on the news up here last night basically electric companies have taken corporate board level decisions not to take on new customers!
The news had a woman stuck in a caravan and a developer stuck with new build that no supplier will connect.
It finished by saying offgem were looking into it and reminding suppliers they had a duty to connect and supply if requested.
BUT no word of cost or cap of cost to connect!

I'm with BES Utilities , commercial only , but I'm signed up for 5 years contract , we're cheap !
