Bush grown around hinge

So this was a nice feature,Bay or Laurel,must be wind blown or a bird,the only other on my property is 60m a way,I’ve just trimmed it for the 31 years since I built the shed as I like a pretty bush! Since it swamped the two hinges it’s caused a nuisance,as I was jacking the shed up it had to go.
Cut as close to steel as possible then hammer in remains of caravan gas pipe that we’ve recently demolished.
