Ops Sorry this update is not finished and running but just picked up my panels and got work in the way of finishing it off, just need two or three days to get there.

I am pleased with the paint, that is about 99% there and the reflection is great with no orange peal effect that you see on so many new paint jobs. The decals well I'll give them a 98% as there is slight mistakes ( I can cover it up with a small tank pad ). BUT it was a someone who deals with cars, he told me NO! to fitting decals BUT stubborn me insisted that him fitting them would be a better job than I could do. Done in 2k straight black with decals also covered in 2k clear.


Some photos, I've done nothing to make them look nice but some natural light would have done the trick but to late now.

Very nice. Are all the red+white decals or is some painted? If decals they look 'fun' to apply on the curves and whatnot..

Was done by two people, both work in coach works so one does the prep and other does paint, the painter is an old timer and the prep guy has around 18 years in the same coach works. All decals and both of them at first refused to do them,,,,,BUT I insisted on it

Strange thing though is how they painted it, different to how I have read on the forum BUT I guess each painter has there own way of doing things and tricks to make it look good. There is good depth to the gloss and almost mirror reflection.

Anyhow after prep and primer it was painted in Solid colour, flat back, decals added then clear coated over. The clear is as it come out of the gun with no mopping or anything and as you can see the reflections are good, better than new cars.


Forgot to add, spent a whole day yesterday getting it running, nightmare with the carbs and every problem possible happened, blood and tears but she is up and running, few little bits left and one slight issue and its done. Photos in the next week or two complete and maybe a dyno run

stunning bike busastars, a fella had a yellow and blue RD350LC with VFR S/S swing arm on it when i used to live in bedford it was gorgeous but i have to say your frame looks so cool with the extra side brace. Top Work buddy

Frame work and neat blending in was done by Wyn, did a top job. Exhausts I had built last year and re'using them ( I may build some stainless ones this year ) ( If I ever get time that is ) Motor rebuilt all new seals & gearbox, Martin77 clean/port job, TZR Reed blocks modded & notched, 3mm spacer, foam filters ( all to someone elses spec ) ( so should be almost there ) ( sounds ok so far )

Next update will be end of next week, I'll take it out just for photos all complete ( apart from setup, dyno, Mot )

I'm about a month early on time, God knows how as I never seem to have any ( but that's one of the reasons I put paint in someone else's hands )

Day off to do a few things and TYPICAL Brittish weather,,,its Peee'ing down. Cannot get it out to do any good photos, take it for a quick once over or anything.......

Some poor photos of roughly where I am. Just a once over needed round the block, Mot & some decent photos.

Just need a day to myself with it being nice, I'm not holding my breath waiting though.
