I'm looking for some advise on building a platform trailer much like at Bateson 2030, with the wheels underneath takes 2 ton, 10ft x 5"10ft bed.
What are the laws on me building my own trailer with regard to weights, lighting etc, Obviously i would buy a hitch and axles that are rated to take what i want, but is this proof enough when/if VOSA pull me over?
i've spend hours trawling the internet for details, with limited sucess even from dep. for transport.
Am i missing a big reason as to why most people buy a trailer or use an old chassis from something else?

whose 2 say when it was built . i just rebuilt mine with new units and woodwork .shotblasted the rest and painted it looks new but it isnt
