Worth asking what the price difference between a hundred bricks and the pack price is, may be nothing in it.

normally 400 to a pack give or take..

A lot of merchants are not doing discounts for numbers anymore on most stuff...there was a time when i used to play one off against the other but since the Covid re-set its all gone t1ts up....These days we are just glad to be able to get what we want and need without waiting weeks.

Yup. Discounts seem to be few and far between. Might shave a few 100 off a 3 grand order (compared to my adjusted prices) but nothing like pre COVID. Have to make sure to adjust prices to suit now.


Travis and jewsons will sell loose.

I don't know - my local builders merchant usually do a discount for a big order. I just got 30p/bag knocked off for buying a pallets worth of cement - 5% on-top of my usual discount.

Lots of building sites around my way (Wokingham). Needed a few bricks like you. Walking the dog past one of the sites noticed a huge pile of bricks. Asked the site manager, he arranged for a pallet of bricks salvaged from the pile to be left outside for me to collect at my leisure. Wouldn’t take anything for them, not even beer/cakes/sweets as he had to declare/account for anything. Deffo worth a try.

Try face book market place, got quite a few for nothing in the past, or gum tree.
Saturday afternoons are good, post garden clear out.

Need to time the approach, when they are finished the brickwork it's a cost to remove leftovers and store them when move off site. That's when to ask.
