Hi,
My Migmate 130 tripped the current in my garage yesterday and since then I haven't been able to get it to work. When I switch it on the fan comes on and squeezing the trigger produces a clicking sound from the PCB board. However, the wire feed doesn't turn and there's no spark. As the fan is the only part of the workings that bypasses the PCB board and the plastic wire feed control knob (which is attached directly to the board) has melted a bit, I'm assuming that the board has developed a fault.
I've found a parts supplier online (Knighton Tool Supplies) who have the board for £67.83 inc. VAT but was wondering if anyone could suggest any tests I could do to ensure that the board really is at fault before I part with the cash? There is no visible sign of damage or burnt smell anywhere in the unit.
Cheers
Dorian

One of the power setting switches slightly open is a very common cause of the trouble you are having so always the first thing to try, especially if you've moved the machine around to look for other trouble. Don't think a failure in the wire feed control would stop the machine arcing.
