Hi all,
I recently picked up a free parweld inverter welder. It was free as it was not working. Upon inspection, I found one capicator was gone. I picked up another 200v 1000uf capicator to replace it. However the new one had a slightly larger diameter so I needed to solder it to some heavy wire before soldering that to the main board.
I switched on the welder and it now turns on for a second. Then turns off, once the fan has stopped it turns on again for a second and keeps repeating the cycle. If I plug it out, the fan turns on normally for a few seconds until the power is drained out of the capicators.
Nothing else looks burnt out? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
William
