Broken Mazda diesel

Any ideas on this would be great help to us. It broke down on motorway sliproad last night. Engine turns over a bit slow.
The useless RAC guy suggested no compression - which I suggest would turn fast, if the battery any good. Towed to garage but they cant do it. Trying to get dealer to honour warranty.

Garage suggested injectors failed. I know theres a few diesel'ists on here... Sound likely?

Low miles 2016 and recently serviced.

Sump level will/maybe over the top of the dipstick (they normally are).

It has only done a 2k miles since purchase and many of those are 20miles+ rather than short. The oil may have risen but not much when checked last week.

Chain broken - Skyactive's do this allot. Woudl explain it spinning over without compression.

What year/model is it...?

Its a 2017 plate 2.2L diesel.

When my Volvo cut out it struggled to restart...the computer said fuel leak but was actually a blocked fuel filter....but only found that after i'd looked everywhere for a fuel leak of course!!!

It was about this time of year...could it be the filter?..diesel will be a bit cold/dense too which won't be helping.

First thing I'd do is read the codes. Ignore rac/aa blokes I had one tell me a car had a coil fault, turned out it was the fuel pump.

I have cars recovered in by major recovery services with fuel pump failures - when simply they had not got any fuel in them!

Forgot to put the fire water in the tank ?
or plugged filter ?

I had an Izusu 2 ton cab over, that had a round saddle tank.

Every time I washed it, the fuel filter plugged up.

I found they cheapened out when making the tank, didn't weld a flange for the sending unit,
just relied on a foam rubber gasket to make up for the curved tank.

I had a variation on that...recovered due to engine issues...turned out it was a faulty fuel gauge (you can guess the rest!)

From a dealer and only done 2k since, 100 percent their issue, if you have it on finance speak to the finance company as it is actually their car, so it is their issue.
