Hi all, in the last few days i have been fettling the kit car to fit the Ford Cologne V6, now all set in place ready to make the new engine and gear box mounts i noticed that a corner of the manifold flange on the head is broke on the thread, now i am not at the minute wanting to remove the head as i believe the engine is a good one and the cost is a lot more than the idea i have before i fit the engine properly.
You can see in the pic the broken flange

Idea, to remove the manifold and fill weld the area, grind back then drill and tap new hole.
or can anyone think of another way around it with out removing the head, its just that once the engine is in place then i dont want to be removing the head at a later date. I have a simialr problem in the past with another car but i just tightend it up and it didnt leak gases , well it passed MOT and ran fine.
