Bridgeport or clone vertical head

Anyone know of a bridgeport or clone vertical milling head for sale ? Premier machine tools in nottingham had one for sale for £550, but when i enquired about it, it had sold.

The late model (mines 1982 i think) V.S. universal, the table swivels up to 45 degrees either way.

I will. The senior is a good sturdy machine, and doesn't take up much room. But i do miss the ability to use a machine with a quill, down power feeds etc.

Do you have the vertical head for it. That could almost pay for a Jhead.


I've mulled over this project for a long while after reading Neil Fazakerley's conversion.

I'd like to know if the head stuffers any drop or flex when the overarm is out.
I have thought of fitting a rib to help stop flex?
