I am needing a log splitter and was planning to make one but I've not done much meddling with hydraulics and was hoping someone with more knowlege would be able to advise.
I've got an old Atlas Compco Power Pack from a breaker. Its not got a massive duty- 20 litres per min at 150 bar I think. I have a double acting hydraulic cylinder somewhere and was hoping to get a log splitter spool valve and cobble together the hydraulics. I think the hydraulic cylinder will have a piston of about 31/2" diameter so. Has anyone made a splitter out of one of these power packs?
I am assuming the breaker power pack with 2 pipes is a pressure pipe and a return pipe to the tank.
