Cheating a little as this is a welder for bread that's causing the problem
It's only a few weeks old but will periodically trip the RCD on the CU that the ring main is on. This morning it managed to trip the RCD on that CU, plus the one on a smaller CU that's fed off the same incomer ( ).
If this happens, it's as thetoaster welder is switched on, but only once every few days.
This has to be the appliance, right? Doesn't sound like a wiring fault?
I've measured the earth loop impedance using a Robin and it's reading 0.8ohm
I could take the toaster back to the welding supply dealer (Tesco) but for £19.99 I'm as happy chucking it in the bin.
