Brazing

Hi,
I know I should not weld on top of a weld but because of the rust in my sill I think I will have to for a short bit of weld.My question is can I weld over braze as someone before me has brazed and I think I will have to attach part of my patch to this but do not know whether it will work.thanks for your help

weld wont stick to metal with brazing on it it will have to be ground off completely otherwise it will spit and fart
