brazing jobs to do

Hi iv'e got a couple of jobs to do and have a question---- Does anybody know if the independent retailers sell/rent oxygen as the small bottles are just to small im'e looking at 1/2 or full size bottles iv'e got these couple of jobs to do but want it for other work as well undoing tight nuts/bolts and bending some steel bar/plate,,
ALSO would it be possible use the air from a compressor with propane to do this work brazing heating bending as this would be cheeper as wouldnt have to buy/rent the oxygen,, If independent retailers do oxy is there any in coventry/nuneaton area,,john

Oxygen is available in smaller cylinders, look at portapak size but there is still a rental charge. Compressed air will not replace oxygen for use with a fuel gas but if you just want heat you could use a mapp torch. Google for it, you might find something you can use to save cylinder rental.
