Brass Wire Wheel!

I have some old taps to clean up that have a bit of surface rust. My current wire wheel is just a standard steel thing but I’m worried that it may dull the cutting edges of the tap so I was wondering if I should be using a brass one?

Is there such a thing? Or am I over thinking this?

Brass coated one from Machine Mart will do the job very well.

As above the MM one, or I just bought randoms from the bay for my dremel to get silver solder flux off. Work fine. Watch the speed or they disintegrate

chuck em in a bit of cillit bang and it desolves the rust then wash em off .no problem on a steel wire brush as long as it isnt one of them course ones and you press on hard
