I found a load of these cocoons last yr when I imported the truck from the states, and then I thought they were wasps; I've found larvae approx 25mm long and 6mm round.

Fast forward today, when I took the heater out, and found another nest. They look like spiders lots of spiders in each cocoon

I'm sure there is a type of small spider lays eggs in cocoons like that, one of the types that leave thick webs about and like.jumping. May be wrong though

I found a 'moth' in Rothmans one day and took it to the chap in charge of fumigation and critters. He said he had never seen anything like it, so off it went. Long before the internet, well 1995ish we certainly did not have a computer back then, so I did not bother looking for what it was, firmly believing it had come in with the tobacco.

Turned out to be a Morning Glory Plume Moth. Worldwide spread, but spooky looking. Under 30mm wingspan.

Just a bit.

I used the 6v fan last yr, a few times, but it pained me to hear the poor thing scream. It didn't get cold though as the foot starter rubber was missing, so after a couple of minutes my right foot was almost melting with very hot air forced through the gap straight off the manifold

Trouble is you roasted in summer so I bought a new rubber gaiter.

I now have to spend more money, buying a 12v fan motor, to replace the free hole and heat

We get the Plume moths in our house sometimes, I think they come off the Birch down the garden as they are a perfect match for the bark on it. The larva feed on Convolvulus, Bindweed as it is known and there is plenty growing round the tree.

T7 Design. Good guys I bought an inline block heater from them last yr, it stopped working the other month. And with out question they sent me out a replacement unit. You can't beat good customer service.
