Boxford CUD lathe

Bought today for a very nice deal . Lathe has a few little things needing attention . The main one for me is the crossfeed screw needs replacing as it's bent , the hand wheel and casting the leadscrew goes through on the front of the compound Is broken (I knew this hence the deal ) I've looked on Fleabay without much success .

Any pointers please,also is the Boxford CUD mk2 metric . Serial number on the tailstock end is.... CUD -II-26640

Try and unbend it?

Chuck the straight section in the 3 jaw. Use an indicator to find the highest point of the bent bit and whack it with a soft faced hammer. Might get it pretty close ...

My Boxford CUD has a 3m metric leadscrew , is the spindle nose thread a metric type as well . It measures 1 1/2 8tpi
