A while ago, the bow saw that I have, cut like a hot knife through butter when cutting up a decent dia branch that had come down from a mature tree. (It is Inconclusive of whether this was green wood as it had broken away from it’s juncture, so may have been part dead/dieing at the time of falling, but it was about 10 inches in diameter at it’s thickest point, and was no problem for the original blade).
It is now time for a new blade, and looking on ebay I see a description "for GREEN wood". Is there really a difference between blades for cutting old wood and green? If I had to guess I would have said green live wood is easier, but I’m unsure.
I’m tempted to just ensure the blade is a quality make like eclipse or something, and just get on with the job. Any thoughts?

this was before H&S don't remember anyone killing themselves or others, teachers tended to stay clear though
a log had to be min 5ins x 12ins light punishment 25 logs, up to 100 after that it was the heads turn to beat you
Ahhhhh how times change
