I bought a used Supermig at a business closure auction, operational condition is unknown but it isnt too battle scarred.
The inside was fairly clean too and there was a bag of three used tips inside so it has seen some use but not a lot.
It arrived with 0.8mm wire loaded, about 3/4 of a spool, the torch had been disconnected and the wire cut off so
the cables could be coiled up for collection.
Should I just rethread the wire through the torch and see if it strikes an arc or is there more required to re-commision it ?
I have Gloves and a mask from a previous stick welder which went on Ebay a while ago
I'm not intending to use it without buying new tips and stuff, I would just like to know if it actually works before spending on parts, gas bottles and a regulator.
