my next door neighbour does bottle testing, we get on well usually,
someone asked me over the weekend about the legality of him storing large quantities of part full gas cylinders, usually oxygen co2 etc, not seen any flammable gas bottles,
they are just over the fence, about 30 foot from my house.

anyone know?

Was thinking the same. I wouldn't be helping them with their enquiries.

If he does bottle testing the bottles would/should be empty.

if you want to get on with your neibour i would keep out of it its not on your land and unless it casues problems with you dont worry about it

it is if it fills a room and someone strikes a match or something sets on fire. its ok in the bottle as long as it doesn't leak

Its a oxidising agent so will allow things not normally readily flammable to burn violently very easily.

It aids combustion, So saying oxygen is flammable is not true! Propane, Acetylene etc on the other hand is a different story.

Oxygen is an oxidiser, it aids combustion.
In high enough concentrations it can allow combustable materials to spontaneously ignite at room temperature with no external source of ignition.
That is why you never use oil or ptfe tape on oxygen bottles and regulators. Ptfe is an oil based plastic.
