Hi all
I have recently purchased a Clarke 160TE welder from Weldequip (whos services come highly recommended).
I have borrowed a large gas bottle but am unsure how to attach my welder to it. This is the bottle:
As you can see it is fitted with a quick release coupling. If you unscrew the end piece, the coupling supplied with the mig welder will screw in, like so:
Is this ok to use with my welder? The cover/handle (which I removed to take the pics) has this illustration on it:
Or do I unscrew the whole coupling and attach my regulator? I cant remember the make of it now!
This bottle was used on a large Butters welder and I am a bit worried the regulator is not suitable for use with my welder.
If I can indeed just screw my connection into the fitted regulator, I assume I dont need the copper insert pictured below:
Sorry about the pic quality!
Where could I fit the low pressure flow gauge so I can tell how much gas is going to the welder?
Hope this all makes sense!
Thanks in advance!
