bottle cost

Hi Guys.

My mate just lost his garage to a fire, and my welding gear is gone!!! My BOC argoshield 'Y' bottle from the volkszone deal has been toasted. Does anyone know how much to replace it? Tried calling local BOC but no reply. He spent over two years rebuilding a Fiat Strada Abarth, ready to be painted and now it's destroyed. Two 12 year old kids set fire to the grass outside his garden!!

Sorry to hear that, trouble is the little sods will get a telling off and that's it.
Could you sue the parents?

Do you have home contents insurance? I once had a claim for tools that were stolen from a workshop, my policy covered items temporarily away from my home.

Insurance hopefully picking up the tab. The two kids are well known hooligans around my mate's neighbourhood. Bring back lynching I say........

The Cost is £170 i was on the phone to BOC on friday, i asked this before renting a bottle from them as i thought it was much higher, but this will be covered by most insurances as a single item

Would the Barcode not cause problems, it caused problems for me with my ill gotten W size oxygen, local place stopped exchanging it for me when the barcode came out

Yeh when you get a bottle from BOC new they are all barcoded and and they scan them in and out when you return and take a bottle so they know what bottle you have and you can only take that bottle back, so it makes stealking them a pointless exersize cause once its empty only the person (or the account) renting the bottle can exchange it

Yeh it's good and bad, good as it should deter theirs but bad cause I used to exchange them buckshee oxygen then 1 day I couldn't
