Bosch Ke-Jet warm-up regulator, repairable?

Hi chaps this is a bit niche, but here goes: I have a nice old Audi 100 5-pot with the Bosch Ke-Jet electro-mechanical petrol injection.
The warm-up regulator is not working. It takes ages to warm up, eg 4-5 minutes. Apart from that it's spot on.
On flea bay you can get rebuild kits for £30, or replacement ones for £250. The car is going to be my daily and the 320D is going. Cant run two motors no more.
The ( proper old school) Haynes manual goes into great detail about it, but you need to buy some kit, adaptor pipes, pressure gauges etc.
The rebuild kit sounds attractive, and I'm familiar with rebuilding pumps..although although bigger ones..
Is it a massive hassle or easy peasy? Thanks for any tips.

They are a doddle to rebuild. However, if its the heating element inside thats failed, you'll need to borrow one elsewhere as these dont come with any kits I've seen. I've accumulated a collection of different WURS over the years, plenty of Ford, Porsche,VAG etc and although they do all have different specs, switching bits around is fine as long as you then calibrate with a pressure gauge properly afterwards (i made my own gauge/test kit as the real stuff costs a fair bit).

If you've got it apart its always a good opportunity to modify the pin to make it adjustable too
