Bosch CIS fuel injector tester

I plan to make a tester for my Bosch CIS fuel injectors, I plan to use a vessel which I can put a petrol alternative into (say paraffin). I will add the gauge from my oil pressure tester kit, a hard line to the injector, half fill with paraffin say (1/2l )and then pressurise with compressed air and measure when the injector opens.

The vessel needs to be able to withstand about 4 bar, any suggestions on what to use.

Won't it need to be transparent so you can see the spray pattern?

Don't use kerosine. Atomising through an injector like that will generate an explosive mixture just a 'good' as petrol.
If you are just using it to observe the spray pattern is there any reason not to use just water?

I think the container is pressurised to force liquid from the container via the pipe to the injector, which will spray into free air.

Diesel sprayed from an injector burns quite nicely too but it's obviously considered safe enough provided there's no source of ignition as injector pop testers are common. At college we were demo'd atomised fuel burning by using a pop tester to spray diesel over a blowtorch . Gives a decent flame for a second.

Water wouldn't be any good. It could well damage the injector and it'll behave quite differently to fuel oil as it forms a skin (surface tension) and doesn't flow the same.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I found a video showing just what I imagined but quite a ball ache to set up for once in a lifetime test.

May just bite the bullet and buy a new set of injectors as mine are 40 years old.

Edit, maybe need to rethink again as the injectors are about £30 each minimum and its a V8.
