I wired in a led light fitting in my garage. Previously I had been using it with a 13a plug.
I had to bodge the wiring because extending a neutral from the lighting circuit to where I needed it to be wasn't going to be easy. So I ended up tapping into the neutral from the electrical sockets. The feed however is from the lighting circuit.
The light was running ok, until a few days later there was a pop and it turned off. Nothing else is affected. Nothing tripped. I can't work out if this was a coincidence or if borrowing the neutral from the sockets has somehow caused this.
Any ideas?
