I was setting up my ring maker to make a batch of rings for an upcoming job.
And the little temporary roller thingy cracked affter 15 years of merciless abuse. A piece of 10mm tube and a pair of washers.
Cue much profanitisation.
Ring maker pre collapse. A piece of Chunkular genius. Swap out the tube and change the size of the rings.
Put the bar under the roller, tuck end into the welded on nut and crank like hell
so small roller finally collapsed.
I need a piece of 10mm tube with hard walls.
Nothing in sight. Hmm gear box selector fork (I think) off a Suzuki Intruder. well it has a 10mm hole and will be hard.
Chop off the spare bits, two nuts either end of it onto a bolt and spin it up against the belt linisher
heavens above it's round and probably hard. Two thick washers and away we go.
job done
