cause i work 9 till 6 and spend all day on the phone where i'm not allowed to make out going calls, i thought maybe while i'm listening to boring customers go on and on and moan like i give a toss i thought i would have a quick look so when i ask the boss for a pay raise i know how much for

I am confused how are you ever going to get a bottle or time to use it if your always at work. I am sure you can ring them before work...i.e 9 am why not ask your boss if you can use the phone? send BOC an E-mail? I don't blame them for not advertising their prices.......if you quoted on a job you would not put the price up for the competition to undercut you......would you?

i sholdn't have to look make a call or email them they should have the available info on there site, it's like going to say currys.co.uk and not be able to view prices just what products you do, you just don't do it do you....

Their prices, as with other industrial suppliers, will vary wildly depending who you are. The prices for a diy or low user may well be twice those for a regular user. Often these prices are only decided once they get a feel for who you are, and the likely amount of business they will get from you. I've quickly priced jobs using internet prices for things such as parking control equipment, and found when i have rung up to order, have got a 40% discount from 'list price'.

I know what your saying paul, but it's nice to know roughly what i would or could be paying, i went into my local suppiler who i said i want thi sn that and he come up with this price and thats what i paid.

i know what your saying about price varies etc but would just like a idea on what i could be paying.

like our business i'm in the price changes based on customer but we still put a price on the site and put underneath these maybe differ from time to time so give us a call for the best quote or something like that.

The point is? The time you have spent moaning about it on here you could have sent numerous E-mails.........At the end of the day you are not going to change it. with theconstantly fluctuating prices and different prices for different users you cant blame them for not advertising a price.....as said just email them.

I may add that air products are much better and more flexible.We have an account at work and i ordered an extra bottle of cougar (47kg) for myself.I paid the bottle rental mind and the delivery driver delivered it to my house for a fiver cash!.....he also carried it through the house as just the misses was there.

I rang them at 21.00 hrs on a Friday night to leave a message about an invoice. They answered the phone. They told me they run 24/7 including weekends and that it would be sorted by him personally before Monday. It was.

I'd like cheaper gas and rental all round, but I value service like that too.

They send 'standard rate' price lists to account holders at least once a year and everytime there's a change to rental or gas prices. If you've only just opened an account it may have just not arrived yet

As Paul said, post the cylinder size and gas flavour you want and someone will tell you the current standard rate. I posted rental costs in the 'gas price spreadsheet' thread last time they changed

I can tell you how much it costs - too bloody much! I took my x-size bottle back recently, I can't warrant the rental cost for a bottle I've barely used in the past year. It's cheaper to pay for welding.
