BOC are crazy, i was just looking at the price lists they have sent me over the years i've been using them, and i've noticed that the size Y cylinders have been getting closer and closer in rental price to the size W, oldest list i have '03 Y size £46 a year W size £68, fair enough, but now the gap has closed down to £9 difference, thats mad, the cylinder is half the size, soon the smaller one will cost more to rent than the huge ones, if prices carry on going the way they are.

also while looking at a price list i noticed another crazy thing, on the acetylene a size J (the one that matches the Y oxy) costs £48.04 for a fill and the size D only £33.81 WHAT? the D has 1/3 more gas but costs about £15 less, do they do these things on purpose to keep us on out toes or what?

The bit that annoyed me whilst looking through the new charges is that Argoshield Heavy is cheaper than the Universal.
Why`s that?
Is there more or less gas in one of them?

And if you can't remember the account number, the agent rings them up and they say yes here's the number. Then create a new account and send threatening letters round because you haven't paid the bill, obviously because the direct debit only works on the correct account number. I've rung them once and they promised it was sorted, guess what - phone calls from debt collection agencies plus late payment fees again.

yeah Einsley harris it's £50 refundable deposit and i think something like £25-30 for the mix gasses and £45-50 for the pure argon, only 1.2m3 in a cylinder though.

i think they are all the same in terms of fill, if you get a W tank it's pressurised to 3000psi what ever gas it is, argon, universal, light, heavy, all the same as far as i know, i think it's because the universal has more argon than the heavy? though the light is cheaper than universal too so no idea on that one really.

:/ sounds bad, they seem to have only just gone to online accounts, they used to look through a book for account name now it's all online.
