Been a while since needing to post a request.
BOC unit has ended up in my lap.
No display or volts dc on output.
Peeled covers off and had a quick look.
No visable problems found.
Diode test on in and output OK.
No shorts at either end of unit.
Main rectifier and caps OK.
600v dc when powered up.
Fan runs.
No display.
No volts at output.
Air blasts continously out tourch connection when tourch switch plug pins Jumpered.
Dual in line solinoids (unusual ).
15-0-15 and 36-27-0 volts on transformer present.
4 wires going to Xieli display.
Found 5v in 2 places poking around those 4 wires.
Thought with 4 wires would be power and current milli volts.
Diode check of dual igbt block shows a short on right to mid terminals.
Did not have time to remove and test.
Green leds on gate board for IGBTS not lit.
O/C red led not lit.
No voltage across this led 2 pins either.
The 4 transistors behind rectangular PWM board had 15v from metal tabs to negative.
My wee oscilloscope indicated a square waveform to the dual gates.
Tried hard but making oscilloscope do what I need is beyond me.
Just don't comprehend how to drive that unit.
Was looking for kilohetz of pulses.
Displaying miliseconds.
In to much of a hurry to further digest it's information.
Anyway, anyone got any thoughts on further testing.
Or a service manual link?
