BOC gas problem

Hi I have rented of BOC since 2006, I may get through a bottle of size Y in about two years,

I had about half a bottle left, and it has all leaked out via the main bottle on of valve, I could hear it going but was helpless to stop it, its now all gone.

How do I convince them it was not just me having used up all of my gas???
also it does seem a very expensive way to hobbie weld.

surely there is a cheaper way to get gas.
I used to live fairly close to BOC wembly, I now live in St Albans.

any one know of a cheaper way to get gas
what to do about leaking cylinder

If it's longer than 8 hours since you bought it you have no chance. If you put the regulator in place and turned the pressure off it would have stopped it unless your regulator is faulty as well.

Thats just it, it was not leaking from the regulator, it leaked from the tap its self (on the bottle)
yes its over a year old, BUT its still faulty equipment, NOT ware and tear

Sadly they won't budge I'm afraid......
All faults have to be reported within at least 48 hours......

You could try contacting Justin and seeing if he's willing to submit a fault request and offer a free refill or such like but I doubt the company themselves will do anything...

I have had quite a few bottles leak from the tap and the bloke at BOC Carlisle told me there had been problems with the taps, the ones with the small handle on the side, something to do with valve seat I think. He also told me if it happened again to call the BOC help line as it was a leaking cylinder and they should pick it up.
I don’t have any problems now though as I always get the bottles with the tap that needs a spanner and none of these have leaked.

Give Weldair supplies of Dunstable a call ! they do small bottles for a deposit if you take the bottle back you get a full one , then if you dont want get your deposit back, the bottles are half the size oy a Y I would say, thats got to be cheaper than your BOC account !
