BOC Gas and gear

Hi everyone, Just been into my local BOC Gas and Gear depot, They are promoting a new range called
"Ryval" welding sets, plasma cutters etc, seems to be a sale on at the moment with extra discounts. Also a nice looking welding helmet for about £130-00, Selling 15kg reels of mig wire for a tenner, (all plus vat i would imagine) Wire marked "no CE" stamp, unsuitable for structural work. but for the hobby man if he can handle the 15 kg its a great deal. Just noticed an extra deal, get a friend to open an account and share a
£100-00 to spend at BOC. Some folks might think they can have separate accounts (maybe in the wifes name) for different gasses and get the £100-00 all to them selves. But my mind does not work like that Also reads to me that if you take a bottle in for exchange they will give you another extra one with free gas but probably have to pay extra rental

P.S. forgot to mention that the welding helmet also has a grinding mode.

I took a trip to the Wallsend branch today since I had messed up my last, though I had not realised, contact tip. They had none at all.

I was directed to AWS in Bath Street, a little along the road. Parweld tips for 50p each. That may be a bit high, I do not know, I have not looked about, but better than none at all.

They are a smaller diameter but do the job nicely. Strangely, he does not take cards but sells quite a range of big stuff.
