Saw this beauty at a customers last week,it was too awkward to get down for a close up though,if you don’t mind the maintenance .it puts my Grumman to shame.

That's a lovely looking thing. A cedar strip kayak is on my to-do list (below a lot of things like building a bigger garage, etc.).

Lovely - I would be frightened to use it though. We have bounced off more rocks in our ancient Old Town than I care to remember - it isn’t pretty or light but it is indestructible.

Bit like our Colman, it survived flying off a friend's truck at speed... 15min tweeking of the ally framing and back in action.

Do like cedar strip though.

I remember seeing a couple of lads stamping a Coleman straight after completely folding it at the Holme Pierpont white water course!!

Love the cedar strip - just not a good enough paddler to use one.

Paddling the strip boat is no more difficult than a plastic jobby like our Colman. Just you get a feeling of being a bit more connected with nature. Not to mention a definite feeling of superiority to Colman owners... Who thrash about in their terrible crap vessels, trying to look like paddlers, but, occasionally making progress.
