its not as hot as propane . the regs are diffrent and so are the jet sizes in the torches so is not suitable

Thank you b.s. Heat understood, reg in hand. Do you mean the propane nozzle is unsuitable, is that not rectifyable? If thats a word in english language.

The only way is to suck it and see, but i don't think you can get higher pressure regulators for but,

My local Calor agent will swap cylinders.

When I installed a gas cooker I took in a couple of Super Ser (blue) bottles and came away with two 47kg (red) propane.

No charge, just payed for the gas.

blue bottels ie butane freezes very easly compared to propane, you cant really pull a lot out of the bottels before the pressure disapaers

Well I tried it the other day. It will heat and cut when mixed with oxygen but as brightspark said, its very slow, so my free blue bottle probably works out more expensive than buying propane as I use much more oxygen with butane.

as Paul G said the agents will swap any calor cylinder for any other calor cylinder, i've swapped the little camping size butane ones for 19kg propane and the other way around, and at a few different agents so just take the butane one in and swap for propane.

Yep I understand, thank you. I just didn't want to miss out on the free gas. I have a propane cylinder.
