I connected my blowtorch to a patio gas bottle and it didn't work. the regulator wouldn't let enough gas out to run it . think il check again but don't think it will work

i still have my 50p adjustable.
that will let out a fair bit more than a 37mbar bbq reg.

(cue sarky remarks about *how* fast a 50p regulator will let out gas )

The regulator (and bottle) has a take off rate, patio heaters and barbecues have s very low rate so the regs dont let much gas out

I got2 full bottles given with regs was chuffed to bits then it didn't work I have one of those heaters they used to have on sites where you can boil a kettle on it or tip it sideways and use as a radiant heater it may run that I hope

It's not all about time, but also about energy. Those mapp torches are adjustable. Running them on full whack will get things (the job, your arm, the curtains, etc) hot very swiftly, but that may not be what you want. They can also go down to (but not light at) a very gentle flame.

You wouldn't want to cook your dinner on one all the time, but theyre a world away from the "blink and you've missed it" small argon mix cylinders in real every day use.
