How useful are they with the inner moulding cut out? Do they keep their shape well? I've a couple of them that I can't give away but it seems a shame to bin them.
I cut insides out of a Makita drill box, held its shape no problem. Gives you a lot more room. I fitted a drill, a driver and batteries and charger in it
I just bin em.....nobody wants for anything but u....hahaha....
I even throw out those Systainers....
made a few rolling racks for the elec tools as I dont work away from home much now....but if I doo it's easy to grab those stacking boxes...
cordles in one buzz box welder in another ...etc....
the other trolley holds fast moving elec and plumbing parts etc....if I need elec --just grab the box....
my workshop is 100 plus meters from the house....
Ive cut out the inner of a Screwfix brand battery combo set.
I now keep my little DC pumps and pipes in it (used to pump out bund water, lube oil, coolant on site).
Useful containers and a shame to not use them.
(My battery grinder, impact driver and drill are together with the charger and a few bits in a "doctors bag" style toolbag cos its more convenient and takes less space)
That does surprise me, given the price they are and the market for them.
A lot of my stuff came in Tanos cases, at first I was going to ditch them and try and find a better way to transport them around - but after using them for a while I've come to the conclusion they work surprisingly well and have held up better than I thought they would.
