Blocked Lexmark OfficeEdge 4000pro inkjet print head

I have a problem with one of the colours which is totally blocked, does anyone here know how to access this print head so I can try and attempt a manual clean. Haven't found any info on the web and Lexmark were totally unhelpful. 3 of the colours work perfectly but the magenta is gone, tried changing cartridges and doing deep cleans to no avail.

It's a 4 in one unit, just can't figure out how to open it to access the print head. If I can't fix it I will have to dice the printer, I do not have much faith in fixing it but would at least try to fix it if possible.

Get a cartridge refill kit that comes with cleaner and use a syringe to inject it from the top, should soften it to get stuff moving

You could also try loosely rolling up some paper kitchen roll, soaking it in distilled water and slide the print head over it letting it sit for a while.
I was given a printer that had been sat for ages with no ink in it so the heads were completely dried out, I managed to get it all working perfectly using that method.

Thanks for that, it's what I figured, it seems to be designed to not be able to be pulled apart easily, I have cleaned out quite a few printers print heads but this one has me stumped without pulling it completely to bits.

Wozzaaah,Kayos..As for cleaning the head, as I mentioned before, it is actually getting to the print head that is the problem!! So looks like it has become a dud and outlived it's usefulness.

If you are competent and methodical at disassembling electrical/mechanical devices it's not impossible to do. I would estimate around 1 to 2 hours to replace the head

Any idea where to start to remove things or a procedure to start dissembling, I have been looking online for a service manual but none have turned up so will have to attack it blindly as screws show up. Except that I can't see any to undo!
