Black magic

Saw this Black Magic paint stuff on a shopping channel whilst late night channel hopping months ago. It looked good.... but i'm scepticle!

Anyone tried the stuff? Or got it from another outlet...?

I want a sort of 'black iron' finish for an exterior project i have in mind.

I'm always suspicious about products that claim they don't need primer.

if its enviromentaly friendly and water based that dont sound good toxic and bad for health sounds real good quality stuff

One of the reviews reckons it doesnt stick well to bare metal, although why you would choose to paint your car with it i don't know?

Its water based to,that on metal without primer
Rustoleum or hammerite for me

Acid etch or red oxide for me..... sounds like all the ingredients for a bad job....like most "miracle cures"

I've found Blackfriar matt black pretty good for sticking to metal

get hold of some chassis black paint, that sticks to either bare metal or primer.

Sounds crap to me, The old saying "if it looks to good to be true, it usually is" springs to mind.
Not sure what you want want to use it for but if bare metal you won't get any better than 2 pack Epoxy primer, Its used on Oil rigs and is anti corrosive.

Only reason i looked at it was it looked nice and easy, a simply slap it on job!
I despise painting, and painting a few coats by hand is even worse!

I don't think i will even try it now

Chassis black paint (available from paint suppliers and good automotive factors) is a simple slap it on job and is not toxic nasty 2-pack like the epoxy mentioned above.

You can brush epoxy as well, with a mask of course.
