Hi,
Would anyone please be able to help with a question about black/dark grey textured paint applied to the casing of some electrical goods?
I have a few electrical units that were rack mounted where the finish to the casings has been scratched or chipped off, presumably due to location in and out of the racks.
The finish is textured black or dark grey and I hope to be able to clean them up and spray a fresh finishing coat before selling the units.
My thoughts were to remove the casings, clean them up with a sander and apply an etch primer followed by a top coat.
Could anyone please advise on my options for a textured top coat? It is only a smallish job with perhaps 4 or 5 casings to clean up so a spray can solution might be simplest?
I do have an Apollo 1500 HVLP sprayer I could use but for the size of the job spray cans might be more convenient?
I am not sure if I need a 2K solution or if there is a brand of single pack polyurethane or enamel that would do the job?
Picture attached of the textured finish below, it looks more heavily textured in the picture than it actually is in reality.
.
