Hi.
Initial trial run of painting after spending months setting up driers/condensers, getting breathe-cool air fed mask, etc.
So although I have a bumper to paint, I am trial-running on the simple diffuser part of the bumper.
Using kapci 2k primer, with some 803 flex additive.
I did one coat, seemed OK, although I realised that I was clueless about the paint gun controls, and the "mini on-gun regulator" that I bought was a total failure (cheater valve I think they call them.. anyway the gauge was useless and showed either 0 or supply pressure, but didn't show the valve's output pressure), so pressure was a total guess.
So I left the coat for 5 - 10 minutes, then came back and set the desired pressure on the wall instead on attempting to use the mini gun regulator, and did another coat. And then I got chunks in the primer!!
So my question is... :
Is this because I didn't use a filter when filling my paint-gun cup
or
Is it because I left the paint for 10 minutes and some of it set inside the gun?
I did not re-fill the cup or anything. It already had plenty in it.
Now that I think about it, I should have emptied the gun shouldn't I ?
Picture attached.
