Quite recently I turned 60, a few days after I was given a of prescription which I had to get from hospital pharmacy, I was about to pay when I noticed the exemptions to pay, over 60... I felt like I had had a small win in life

Excellent I felt like that a few months ago when I attained OAP status and could apply for a free bus pass. In hindsight, definitely not a good win!

Bus pass is so useful when you're away and beer is involved

I've owned the Tee Shirt for 10 years now, it saves a fortune at least 7 different types of sweetie's every day, sometimes more depending on the Quacks or Surgeons needs to up their bonuses.......

True, then again my local is about 400 yards from my house

I’ll get my bus pass in April, already get free prescriptions. I had no plans to use it but with the price of fuel, it might be handy

I've been on various meds since my 40's, it was nice to tick that box when I hit 60 and get them free

I first started requiring regular medication in 2015. I faithfully bought a prepayment certificate every year. After passing the 60 mark, I was happy not to have that reminder of how much I cost the NHS. Funnily enough, after I got the 'pass' the consultant said that I was already exempt due to the type of medication and that I shouldn't have been paying for it!

If I were paying for my prescriptions it would be around £100 a month, although I'd rather be healthy and not need the pills.
