Not tried that particular model, but they get a decent write up in most of the cycling magazines. Lots of decent bike lights now that utilise good quality LEDs and allow you to see the road ahead and easily dazzle on coming motorists.

I use a Hope Vision 1 - quite a bit more expensive than the one you link to. The main reason I chose the Hope is that it has removable AA batteries - I do a lot of Audax rides and need something I can use for consecutive nights without an opportunity to recharge a built in battery pack. With the Hope, the middle setting is bright enough for night time country lanes and will just about get me right through from dusk till dawn (depending on the time of year) on one set of high capacity AA rechargeables. I guess it hinges on what you want the light for?

Hmmm, they say 5 hours battery but logic tells me that can't be on the highest setting. If you read the Q&A people are talking about 35 minutes life which doesn't amount to a lot of cycling? Presumably it would be more reasonable on a lower setting? It all hinges on what kind of night time riding Maker has in mind.

never used the 3 light mode or flash batteries seem to last a long time, as i use it for inspection never run it to empty but a second or third set of batteries not a problem, some are supposed to be 6000mAh

I use a cheap ultrafire torch as front light. 18650 batteries last something like three hours on low
mode. I ride between 4 and 6 hours usually and only have a light on continuous off road, I put it
on strobe on road as I found I can see fine with a strobe light and the battery lasts a lot longer.
I carry a spare fully charged battery and I always have my ultrafire torch in my pocket, me which
has a decent battery in it, so no worries about batteries.
As I turned onto the road one day a bloke in a car stuck his head out his window and started
shouting at me to dip my lights;-)

I bought a set from 7dayshop.com in Jersey. No VAT & a fraction of the price. Front light doubles up as a great hand held torch.

Excellent light, last for ages on a charge and super bright. Mine has a high beam (too bright for the road in reality), low beam which I use and a flashing mode. Probably had mine for 3 years now and I commute every day to work. No need to spend loads on bike lights any more, these are as good as anything that you need.

A friend of mine has one of those bought when they were dearer and it is a brilliant light (pun intended) When I read your post I thought "why does he have a light on his computer ?"

A lot of lap top batteries have 18650 old packs broken down usually have 3\4 good ones in there

Yes, 7200 Lm is absolutely stupid but hopefully it has a low power mode (Or can be modified to have one) so it should be pretty good.

You should have a butchers on aliexpress, you can get the same stuff for next to nothing on there, postage is usually free too.

You will need to wear dark glasses when you are using it!
