That's because it's vast ice burgs Kilometers wide and thousands of meters high while it's ice

The volume changes (approx 1/5th) but the density is the same, so if you melt all the floating ice = no change in levels.

Land based ice entering the sea = a rise

Warming seas, (water expands with heat) = a rise

Pipes don't burst when they thaw out. They burst when the ice expands. You only notice the burst once the ice melts

usually yes, water expands as it crystallises

Flood plains are perfect places to build cities....or have you not noticed?

Will they nip down town for, " Han Engish Twakeahawai " ..I think I'll set the family on thinking about emigrating and opening up " Roost Beve " fast food outlets there .. 42 million potential punters sounds better than only 1.3 million of so of London.
