Best way to remove overspray

Hi I'm researching the best way to remove overspray. Where I've not managed to maintain a wet edge when spraying 2K I've overspray. I don't want too take to much paint off so I'm reluctant to use 1200 wet and dry etc. What other ways are there ? I've heard of clay bar , will this do it or shall I use cutting compound or combination of. The paint went on two days ago, so is quite hard now.

Clay bar should do it, or look at a clay mitt instead http://www.halfords.com/motoring/ca...iling-products/farecla-g3-body-prep-clay-mitt [if you do, follow the 'breaking in' instructions or you risk leaving marring at first use. Basically, it's simply using it on glass before moving on to the paint]. Simple as .

I use one in preference to the clay bar(s) which I also have, because the mitt is much faster in use.

yep trying to partially paint a panel

right okay well its a shame you didnt ask before

but all you can do is smooth the edge with wet n dry and polish it , but the edge will show up

next time use blending thinner over the dry edge while its still wet

Thanks for your prompt reply, how do I use blending thinner ? so probably worth respraying the whole panel ?

you would prepare the area where you want the faded edge to be with a grey scotch pad and /or prep paste

keep the first coats away from there , then spray the last coat up to the blend area , tip out the gun and fill with blending thinner and then at a low pressure carefully dust over the dry edge and it should melt in and look reasonable , having said that it takes some practice so i would suggest when possible paint the whole panel

Indeed, I class clear as DG. I was meaning not on basecoats or primers.
